What a teacher asks before the first term
Do teachers have to rebuild their courses from scratch?
No. Slides, worksheets and reading lists go in as the files they already are — what is new is the order they sit in. Putting a term's lessons in that order is real work, but it is done once, and the next term begins from a copy of the last.
Can we start now, with the term already half done?
Yes. A course can begin mid-term, and the marks already given stay valid — enter them as they stand, or let this term finish the way it started and begin the next one whole. Nothing has to be recreated before the system is useful.
What about students without a device at home?
Work can be set to be done in the classroom or the computer lab, and the pages read on a phone. Where a student hands in on paper, the teacher marks it as they always have and records the mark — the submission does not have to be digital for the mark to be.
Does the system decide the final grade?
No. It adds up the marks teachers entered, using the weighting the department set, and shows how it got there. A teacher or head of department can change a result, and the change is kept on the record with the reason for it.
